Goodwrench PSA and Giveaway-- CLOSED

With only 1 entry, Valerie is the winner! Congratulations, Valerie!

Goodwrench is putting out a great PSA for all of out there, regarding tire wear. With summer road trips, lots of trips to the baby store and much more, it is super important to keep your eyes on your tires.

Here is some great info/tips that Goodwrench has sent me:

- According to the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration (NHTSA,) 660 fatalities and 33,000 injuries occur every year due to tire-related problems.

- Keeping your family vehicle’s tires inflated to the recommended pounds per square inch (psi) will not only save on gas, but will provide a safer ride.

- It’s important to keep in mind that during the warm weather of summer, hot road surfaces can cause the pressure to increase in a tire. As a general rule, for every 10-degree rise in temperature, a tire’s pressure increases one psi.

- Invest in a quality tire gauge! Eyeballing tires to measure pressure can be misleading, as radial tires often look fine even if they are under-inflated.

-And by the way, be sure to rotate your tires on schedule. Since each tire performs different tasks (such as steering or front versus rear wheel drive), tires wear at different rates, and you’ll get more life out of the tires you bought this way.

Goodwrench is providing TWO prize packs for two winner for this giveaway. The prize pack contains the official baseball cap that the Goodwrench technicians wear and a tire-tread card that the technicians use. I am especially excited about the tire-tread card for you all...it is a neat little card on a lanyard that you can keep in your card that will allow you to correctly evaluate the treads of your tire and lets you know how much life is left in them.

Entry will be closed at 11:59PM, September 14, 2010. An e-mail will be sent to the winners and they will have 48 hours to e-mail me their address. (I will put CLOSED in the title of the post when entry is closed) **Giveaway is open to U.S. residents only**

DiamondEarrings.org Review

DiamondEarrings.org was generous enough to send me a pair of 5mm square stud simulated diamond earrings. And actually, they also sent me earrings that represent my birthstone (December) and Lilly's birthstone (October). I now have 3 new pairs of earrings, all that can be used with different outfits and occasions.

I think these earrings are really cute and I am so glad to have them, especially Lillys birthstone color...I don't have anything with her birthstone and so it is nice having a pair of earrings that to me, represent her. Also, the backings are sterling silver so I don't have to worry about them agitating my ears. I personally can tell that they are not real diamonds but I still really like them nonetheless...they sparkle and look really clean.

DiamondEarrings.org is having an awesome promotion right now where if you mention their website on your Facebook page, twitter account, blog or anywhere else on the web, they will send you a free pair of simulated diamond earrings; you just pay the $3.77 for shipping and handling. (This offer is good for those located in the US).

Just click on THIS LINK and follow the directions to get your free pair of earrings!

I received this product in order to do a honest review. All opinions are solely my own. Others may have different opinions. I did not receive monetary compensation for writing this review. Many thanks to diamondearrings.org for letting me do a review of this product!

bhCosmetics Review and Giveaway-- CLOSED

Winner is comment #12!! Congratulations Ella!

I was recently given the opportunity to review a 120 palette...yes 120 palette eyeshadow!! bhCosmetics sent me their 3rd edition 120 palette. Here is a little more info from their site:

Introducing the all new 120 color eyeshadow palette 3rd edition. From the neutral and warm tones to bright summer colors, this palette makes a great addition to BHCosmetics family.

When I received this palette I was so excited because I have never had 120 colors ready to use....4, yes. 8, maybe. 120, never! There is a color for every outfit, occasion, and personality.

Each color eyeshadow is about the size of a penny...not too big and not too small, in my opinion. If they were any bigger, it would make the palette far to large for my liking...it is still pretty portable given its size.

I really like this palette of eyeshadow...not only because of all the options but because the shadows are true to color. Many times, I buy an eyeshadow and fall in love with the color, but only to put it on and it doesn't look the same as it does on the palette as it does on my eyelids. This is not the case with bhcosmetics eyeshadow; what you see is what you get! I love that!

bhCosmetics also carries blush, makeup brushes, lip color and lip gloss. I am very tempted to try out their lip gloss...I LOVE lip gloss and bhCosmetics has great prices and based on my view of the eyeshadow palette, great quality as well.

I would highly recommend bhCosmetics!....I am very impressed with my new eyeshadow palette!

Now onto the giveaway! bhCosmetics has graciously offered one lucky mommy saves money reader their very own 120 palette eyeshadow-3rd edition!

Entry will be closed at 11:59PM, August 17, 2010. An e-mail will be sent to the winner and they will have 48 hours to e-mail me their address. (I will put CLOSED in the title of the post when entry is closed) **Giveaway is open to U.S. residents only**

101 in 1001: 6 More Goals Crossed Off the List!

Life with a VERY fast mobile baby is just crazy...so much fun but crazy!! It makes for a little less time to be able to jump on the blog, that's for sure! But here is a post to catch you up on some of the 101 in 1001 goals I have crossed off the list!

1. 12. Change our cell phone carrier to AT&T and get an iPhone
We did this last month. Aaron has been dying to have an iPhone for as long as I can remember and I decided that we would get one for his bday this year...he got the phone a month early because his other phone 100% totally died. He loves his phone and I am glad that AT&T switched their data plans and you can buy a cheaper plan by deciding what data package you want to get...that helped a lot in persuading me to change our service...well, that and Sprint service at our house just stunk! So now he has his phone and he is super happy and I must admit, it is a pretty cool phone!

2. Take Lilly to the Childrens Discovery Museum.
I have been so excited to take Lilly to the CDM...they have a room called the wonder cabinet and it has a "crawl room"...it is for children who are crawling or very early beginning walkers. Lilly had a great time in the room checking things out and climbing on everything...

She even loved the main part of the museum...the water area was really cool and she liked the little push pin thing, where you put your hand on it and it comes out the other side. We had a good time..I can't wait to take her back when she is a little older and can walk around to different things.

3. Mount TV over Fireplace
Done! Thank goodness because now we don't have to worry about Lilly trying to climb the entertainment center and grabbing/pushing buttons!

4. Take Lilly to the Beach
We took Lilly to Capitola City Beach and it was awesome! When we first got there, we stopped and ate at Zelda's which right along the beach...it was really pretty and the food was pretty good.

After lunch, we went out to the beach and Lilly LOVED and I mean, LOVED the sand....so much so that she wanted to eat it but once she realized that mommy and daddy weren't going to let her eat the sand, she started crawling all over the place and just digging in it.

She wasn't a big fan of the water...we didn't take her in or anything, the water is freezing but she didn't even seem to like the noise much which is kind of ironic because her sound machine plays ocean sounds....

It was a great trip though...it will be fun taking her again next summer!

5. Get a Garage Door Opener
Done! And makes my life a lot easier!

6. Get a new sheet set!
Done...thank you Ross!

Ecomom Review and Giveaway-- CLOSED

Winner is Comment 39! Congratulations Ashley!
Eco Friendly-Baby Products from Ecomom sent me the some Plum Organics Training Meals to review...they sent us the Red Lentil Veggie Training Meal and the Multigrain Super Greens Training Meal. I was really excited to have Lilly tries these foods as we were wanting to move up the consistency of her foods...she was ready and starting to refuse the purees. And actually, just before we got these training meals, she started refusing the spoon so we even let her eat these training meals by herself. The meal was thick enough for her to pick up some food and feed herself and she was also able to use her own little spoon to feed herself. Lilly LOVES LOVES LOVES the Multigrain Super Greens...they are amazing...probably one of her favorites! She also liked the Red Lentil Veggie but the Super Greens were the bigger hit for her.

I love these little training meals...they are a great step in the solids journey that eventually leads into finger foods. You know what else...it is a good little balance of food...not just veggies but veggies and grains; and many of their training meals have meats as well. I also love how portable the little package of food is...it is so easy to take with us on the go and it is packaged baby safe as there are no sharp edges and it is BPA free.

Ecomom also has this great new program-EcoPass. This program allows you to purchase a $99 annual membership, which gives you a 15% discount on every order, as well as free shipping with no $75 minimum requirement. Free shipping is always a bonus in my book! And ecomom offers a wide variety of products from the high chair to the lunch box, so definitely check out there site...oh and if you haven't tried their plum organics, you should check that out...those foods are awesome!

Now the giveaway! So what can you win??? One lucky reader will win $20 gift certificate!

Entry will be closed at 11:59PM, July 30, 2010. An e-mail will be sent to the winner and they will have 48 hours to e-mail me their address. (I will put CLOSED in the title of the post when entry is closed) **Giveaway is open to U.S. residents only**

Little Grips Review and Giveaway-- CLOSED

Winner is Comment #68!! Congrats Jess!

I was so excited to receive this next item to review...Little Grips; little utensils for little hands! I was so excited to try these out because recently Lilly has been refusing to be fed by me or my husband; she will only eat if she feeds herself. So we do a lot of finger foods now but when we have something that is a bit messier/less solid, we give her the little grips spoon so that she can spoon feed herself. This spoon has been a LIFESAVER during meals because she LOVES it and now she will eat!...she is one happy self feeder; my little big girl!

Here is a little more information about the little grips taken from their site:

An ergonomic design that takes advantage of a toddler's stronger grasping and overall hand-movement skills, while still allowing them to learn proper feeding motions. You will see your child's confidence build and messiness diminish.
  • A toddler utensil designed for toddler feeding
  • Comfortable non-slip grip that fits easily and naturally in your toddler's palm
  • Toddler feeding that ends frustation and builds confidence
  • No-choke safety design with rounded edges
  • Made from durable, high quality plastic and stainless steel
  • Dishwasher safe
  • Only $10.95! plus shipping and handling
I honestly can't rave enough about this product and I am sure that it is probably even more invaluable for the toddler age range. I would HIGHLY recommend this product...I think it is simply genius!

Little grips has graciously offered one lucky Mommy Saves Money reader a little grips set! Trust me...you want to win this!

Entry will be closed at 11:59PM, August 2, 2010. An e-mail will be sent to the winner and they will have 48 hours to e-mail me their address. (I will put CLOSED in the title of the post when entry is closed) **Giveaway is open to U.S. residents only**
